Our guiding principle is that people with
developmental disabilities deserve to be fully
integrated into society and are full citizens of
the Commonwealth of Virginia. To enable them
to enjoy their lives to the maximum extent
feasible, it is necessary to analyze their
strengths and weaknesses and to set up a
support system.

We believe that most people, including those
with developmental disabilities, perform best
in a coordinated, community-based system of
all-encompassing services. We also think that
interdisciplinary care is necessary for effective
therapy.
